Need an everyday watch help

I've usually wear my Rolex but I've been beating it lately and want to put it away and not destroy it or loose it . Looking for a nice watch the I can use everyday at the beach working outside ect .. help for recommendations looking at the SKX009 but open to options . Thanks

I had the same dilemma and went for an SRP777. Such a great choice. A real tool watch, like the four digit subs and SDs were in their day. I guess it depends on your wrist size though.

People love the SRPxxx Turtles, but they also aren't for everyone. Check out the SPB051 or SPB053. The 3-o'clock crown is more traditional (some people prefer it) and it's got a lot of bang for the buck, as well.

Also look at the Sumo series. Not sure of wrist size or size of watch you are comfortable wearing, but this about the size of a MM300, maybe slightly thinner than the Turtle, but it wears comfortably and has a lot going for it in terms of build quality vs cost.

Another vote here for the SPB053 (aka SBDC053). I picked one up on a whim, and have completely fallen in love with it. Hacking, handwinding, proven movement (6r15) plus, even before regulation, it's running -2.6 seconds per day!

Nice choice and lovely watch, id be recommending this, or a turtle or sumo.

OP the SKX is a nice little watch but not the best entry level seiko diver imo, the step above which is the Turtles, Samurai, sumo, SPB053/051, is a much better option because of hacking, better movement, drilled lugs, better finished, hand winding, better lume and markers, etc.

I have had 5 SRP's now, the SRPC's are a better quality imo and a little smaller. But the Citizen Promaster is a great watch also.
