Buying Gold Daytona and Gold Presidential, not so good AD discount?

This morning I visited my AD in Manhattan, me and my fried want to get each a gold watch, I want rose gold Daytona with black dial (not on a picture, they need to order it) and he wants yellow gold Presidential, after some time they offered us 10% off the msprc. What do you guys think? I was inquiring about the same watches by the AD in NJ, and they gave me a better deal, more like 12% off.
Do you think they could squeeze a bit more if we really press on them (trust me we already were pushing hard on them as is) or thats the absolute best we can get at this given moment?
Thank you

I would buy from a Trusted Seller - period.

And with the potential ‘two-fer’ sale — they’d have to do better than that for me —

I would take a trip to the UK and get a discount and a VAT refund from an AD. Preferably before 1st October when prices go up!

I would want 15% off at least if I were buying both watches from them.

When buying two PM models ask the AD to throw in a 116500 or 126710BLRO at MSRP.

I'd honestly want a 20% minimum and a coveted SS at MSRP … If not, go with a Trusted seller.

2 PM pieces is quite alot of money. I would push for minimum 15% off each watch and possibly a SS BLRO or SS Daytona at MSRP.

Funny how I spoke with all AD's in my area and not a single one would budge on price with the WG Daytona blue dial.

Its becomming like that. Even PM pieces are getting quite hard to get the usual discounts from.

My friend bought a Rose Gold DD40 only got 7% off MSRP. That would be considered a really crappy discount in the past.

Check 47th street, some of the gray market dealers will be able to give you north of 20% off msrp.

Congrats no matter what - both outstanding watches. I'd personally buy one from DSW.

Have you purchased there before? With some history I would be asking for a bigger than 10% discount. As a new buyer for a seller to offer 10% it's pretty good, shoot for 15% and take it either way.

10% is a bit too little unless AD offers you other hot pieces along with this transaction.

You could get at least 20 percent off and no taxes. That's my opinion. For reasons I do not understand, people tend advertise grey dealers. Do not buy from non AD. Period.

I think the only discounts to be had are for the less popular colours. But for a hot one like the 116519LN, doubt you can 20% off.

For some of the easy to move PM pieces such as the WG Daytona which are also on a waitlist at many ADs - you’re going to be hard pressed to get a discount. Others not in demand you should be pretty successful. Keep shopping around! Agree with two high end PM pieces, I would also ask for a SS hard to find piece. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

20% minimum should be more but 20% is the market. NYC shops think they carry different watches from anywhere else, call around 20% should be base for 2 PM pieces.

You can ask a better offer on DD,but 10% for the rose gold Daytona is good nowadays.
