I would never send a watch to RSC that had anything special about it like that flat 4 green bezel. There are too many horror stories about watches having parts swapped for new service parts. For sure if you didn’t have papers and that bezel wasn’t original it would be gone. Even so I wouldn’t trust it to them. Hopefully Ken will comment because I’d send it to whomever he currently recommends. If it’s too late and it’s already been sent I’d be interested in knowing how it turns out. If it hasn’t been sent I wouldn’t. I think many Rolex owners who have had their Sub, SD, Exp II , or Daytona for 30 years or so don’t know what they have and are happy to have a shiny new bezel, dial, and hands on their watch and if not too bad. Obviously the people on TRF are not those people. I wouldn’t want it polished but that would be the least of my worries.
Btw: You have a gorgeous watch there. Thanks for posting the pictures. Russell |

Funny … I have my 2004 D LV Kermit at my AD for "In House" Service. Has one of the best "In House" Watch guys. Full overhaul. Hasn't been serviced since new. Thought it would be a good idea as the oils do break down over time and didn't want to chance it. They did call me back about my Green Hologram Sticker still on the back and said it would come off and would try to preserve it. Nothing was wrong with it … in fact it looks new. No issues here. Didn't need to send to Rolex.

Well it’s back! Looks perfect and runs perfect. Had a scratch down the side of the case and with a light polish it looks new, didn’t take any time at all at Dallas RSC, they do great work. Glad to have this back in the stable, been missing wearing it. |
