Rolex losing 3 minutes a day

I just purchased a newer model Explorer 1, so definately less than 2 years old.

It is losing 3 minutes a day.
Yes it's fully wound, and I double checked

That seems like a Lot, wondering if that may be soemthing besides a regulation,
And how much can the regulation actually compensate for ?

Yes, definitely send it over to the Dallas RSC for warranty service..

Was going to bring it to local AD for regulation ...
Thought I read sending in to Rolex could take 6 weeks ...

Losing 3 minutes is neither acceptable, nor normal for a new Rolex and expect warranty service is required.

Sure, will take 4-6 weeks, but you will get it resolved properly! I personally would not experiment by taking to AD, especially when you are still covered under the Rolex warranty..

If it's true your watch is losing 3 minutes a day then regulation is not going to help you, the maxim correction via the balance wheel microstella nuts and screws is 150 seconds either way.How did you wind it, to fully wind it needs 40 full crown turns clockwise only.What was your testing method to come up with being 3 minutes a day slow.??

Agree.

As Padi notes, regulation will not likely help. Why not take advantage of your warranty; you paid for it as part of the price in buying a new watch?

Fully turned 50, wore it for 2 days. Just like my others, doing nothing different

Using time time.gov can clearly see it losing about 7 seconds an hour

I would just send it in directly to RSC and not waste my time having ADs tinkering with the watch.
