Day Date 1803

I was looking around for a DD 1803. Found one but the seller listed 1985 as production year. AFAIK the 1803 stopped production in 1977. Any DD 1803 experts can chime in ?

Day Date 1803

The 1803 was replaced in 1977 by the 18038 as you remembered. How did the seller represent the date of production?

Most rely on internet data lists based on serial number. The other possibility is a typo in their listing whereby a 1985 was typed when it should have been 1965...

The way to know is look for a sapphire crystal replacing the acrylic and a quick-set movement.

Thanks for the reply. You are correct the seller had a typo it should be 1965. What would be a fair price for one in good condition ? Low to mid 5K ?

With bracelet or without?

Personally, show stoppers for me are dial must be flawless, and it must have a bracelet in good condition.

I think $5k might be optimistic with a bracelet.
