What items normally come with a new watch?

I read a lot of comments here and have become confused about what I "should" have gotten with my Exp II. I walked into the AD, saw the black Exp II in the display case, tried it on, liked it and bought it. I got the box and all the papers but should the watch have had a green sticker on the back, some clear plastic peel off pieces on the case and a clear plastic circular bezel protector? The watch had none of that stuff.

Thanks

It should but i wouldn't worry too much about it as long watch is new and your name is on the card.

Some ADs peel off the stickers anyway, and the bezel protector is usually a throwaway item. You can ask your AD for one if you feel like you should have it. AD might have some lying around in the drawers.

Just make sure you have the two hang tags.

I own a 216570 polar which I purchased 2 months old. It came with the outer box, green display box, green hang tag, booklets, and warranty card. I purchased my datejust 41 new from Rolex AD and it came with the exact same items.

Here is what I got. I think everything is there. The serial number tag and extra link are in the clear plastic bag. The plastic warranty card was dated during the purchase, however, my name/signature is blank on the card. The sales receipt does have my name and the watch serial number but the paper is nothing more than something that came out of a laser printer. Certainly not something with a watermark, etc. I bought the watch at the AD in Bergen, Norway. I have no immediate plans to go back.

My Expll and DJ41 came with all as metioned above, I did have to ask for a bezel protecter once and for the coffin on both.

My AD displays most of their stock, so green stickers, green tag, and bezel protectors are almost always off, and any clear stickers were taken off either before I tried it on or for the appraisal photo at purchase. I didn't ask for the protective plastic bits but they put the hang tag and the papers in the box with the warranty card.

That sucks for you, I got to keep it all, and some gifts, they left everything untouched, without tampering with it from when it arrived special ordered kept in vault. I walked out with it like it should be, coming straight from Rolex.

Thanks.

This forum has been amazing. Although I came here in 2009 with a question regarding my 5513, I consider myself a new member coming here AFTER I bought my Exp II a couple of months ago. Although I am very happy with my new watch, I wish I had come here to lurk before hand to learn about what models are easy or hard to get, discounting, etc. I am a middle class, average Joe who naively walked into the store thinking I would have my pick of any model I wanted within my $7K - $10K budget for a once-in-a-lifetime purchase. When the salesperson noted that the SS sport models were on a list reserved for "regular" customers, I suddenly realized you needed to have purchased several others in the past to be "special."

That was my first Rolex bought recently. I made a thread of it. Had never done business with them. They contacted me once they knew what I wanted when I inquired via the Rolex website. It's subjective how they treat you, I was treated with the upmost respect and they new when I walked in the owners were waiting for my arrival and treated as if I was family. My presence alone and aura let it be known I was there to be treated special. I wasn't there for the free coffee they knew that and made my experience enjoyable that I bought another put down payment for another special order once I picked up my 1st original order.

Is there any reason you wouldn't get a warranty card the day of purchase? One AD told me Rolex ships their cards for them.

In addition to above, I also keep the AD boutique bag and also any catalogs they give me at the time, and stash it with the watch as part of the entire package.

I have not seen, the Green Sticker, on watch back on either 5 year old purchase of Sub C Date, nor less than one year purchase of DJ41, both were in coffins....

I got the green back sticker on my Hulk, bought from a grey who sourced it from the NL. All other stickers were also still applied. My AD takes the stickers off everything. They always have. All brands. I've never been inclined to ask if they would leave them on. Although they've never handed me a watch which is totally sticker free. There's always one or two than manage to duck. Part of my new watch ritual is finding something to peel off in the first week.
