Please.....talk me out of this

I am getting an itch for something new and am thinking of flipping the LV to get it. I would grab up a SDDS in a heartbeat but unfortunately I would have to have a substantial amount on top of my trade. I am thinking SD but oh man I know how I am and I would have feelings of regret afterwards. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I plea the 5th.

Dont do it

The LV was your first watch you are going to regret it trust me

I was thinking of flipping my GMT II C too but in the end i realised that it was something that i didnt want to do

You should be really happy with your LV one day you'll buy another one be patient and enjoy what you have

Hey joshua...are you in a hurry?? because prices are all going down...my ad called me today for a new dssd...and there are a lot of people selling it here...just wait if you can...your LV has a good resale value...but i dont think it will be good to sell it here...ask your local AD how much will they take your watch for a trade...but there are a lot competition here in selling..a lot of good deals right now...just hang on to it...deep sea will go down really deep!!

LV is an outstanding watch. I should know...

Don't flip. Selling prices suck right now. If you feel the need to mix it up a little bit, try sourcing a black bezel insert.

You will regret it if you sell.

Don't flip the LV, especially if it's your first Rolex. You'll always regret it. Instead, buy the SD while you can get a decent discount. The SD is getting discontinued, and it'll be harder to find one BNIB after a few months. It'd be the perfect watch for me, if it didn't have the escape valve on the side. I don't do any deep-sea diving, so it's useless for me, and ruins the look of the watch for me. However, I love the clean crystal with no cyclops, coupled with the date function.

IMO, SD > LV. But, if you think you'll regret it, don't do it.

I flipped my first TT DJ after owning and wearing it for 7-8 years. I can't even remember what I bought next but I can say I've never missed that TT DJ because I always liked the next Rolex I bought better......

and the next one..........

and the next one..........

Buy a Black Bezel insert for your Sub then you will have two watches for the price of one. A SD 4,000 is a good piece and will increase in value but the sub is the ROLEX!

Never go for second best, if its the deepsea you want, wait until you can afford it then take the plunge. The SD is a great watch but you'll be setting yourself up for a spell of buyers remorse!

Pass that LV onto your children when they grow up not onto a re-sale dealer methinks. It is your first Rolex so make it special one day for all the family, generation to generation !
The DSSD is a truely stunning watch but it will wait for you !!! All good things come to those who wait my man.
Hard wait though !!!!!

Resale value on anything is not great lately.... One thing about the Deepsea is that is has no where near the wearability that the LV has.

not sure if this has been said, but if you need a change, buy a black insert for your LV. Then you almost have a std sub, and look like the SD that you want but without the valve of course. IT would be alot cheaper as well.

I wouldnt flip it. everyone needs a sub.

Pull yourself together man. What the bloody hell do you think you are doing?

You buy a classic watch and in no time at all your head is turned by this montrous marvel of engineering.

You must not purchase the SDDS. If you do then it is an inevitability that you will profoundly regret it.

Not immediately, but soon and for the rest of your life.

Danger !!!

Be warned !!!

Is that ok?

There's a couple of comments talking about the valve being an issue. This should not be an issue as you don't even notice the valve. It does not stand out in any way whatsoever. How an invisible valve can change your decision is beyond me IMHO.
