Thoughts on trading BLNR and Lvc for DaytonaC White

Hi guys,

I have the option to trade a BNIB BLNR and Lvc for a 2017 DaytonaC White dial

I like the option of having a weekday watch (BLNR) and a weekend watch (Lvc). But then again, it's hard to beat the beauty of a DayC White dial. If I do end up going ahead with the trade, I don't think the Daytona will ever leave my wrist. Current finances do not allow me to have any other combination. It'd have to be the BLNR and Lvc or DaytonaC White dial.

I understand that neither option is bad option, but I was wondering what do you guys think of this deal?

I have a white D500, but I would not do that deal.

I suppose it depends on your collection, but if it's just those three watches in question, it's a no from me.

I wouldn't do it personally. Keep your 2 watches and wait for a Daytona at MSRP.

I have the LVc and D500 and I think that is the ideal pair. If not possible then I'd stick.

I prefer Daytona C over the other two, but I still wouldn’t do the trade because every time I look at my wrist, I’ll be reminded of how much premium I paid for the watch.

I wouldn't do it. I would just save up for the Daytona and by the time one is available you'll have the spare cash. If not, you don't want it that bad. I love both of your watches.

Depends on how much you like the Daytona.

You would be so off set just going by MSRP. The Daytona is a $12k watch. The craziness will stop some day.

I wouldn’t do the trade. All three are great watches, but I’d prefer to have two out of three instead of just one. While it does depend on how much you like the D500, you also can’t ignore the cost associated with it. Paying that kind of premium gets a strong “no” from me.

If you didn’t pay over msrp for those two watches, I would for sure trade them for the White Daytona C. Daytona is the king of Rolex family. Rest are like step-kids of the family.

I’ve got all three and I would not do that trade.

My favourite of the three is provably the BLNR, so maybe I’m biased.

I would sell the LV and wait to get the Daytona at an AD.

Not sure what the real values are of these watches but msrp wise you are taking a beating.

I would trade as I might like the Daytona ... but I might not like it and in the end it would be a costly indulgence.

This trade roughly makes the Daytona worth 22k USD. This is even higher than grey market prices. Too much IMHO

Don't underestimate the watches you are considering trading. They are terrific Rolex models. This is not a deal I'd even consider.

I don’t care about the BLNR but i don’t think that deal makes a lot of sense.
