To RSC or not to RSC?
Hello! Got a pre-loved 2002 Sub 16610 a couple months ago from Buchwald Jewlers here in Miami (http://www.buchwaldjewelers.com/) , not sure if they are an authorized dealer however have lots of friends that trust them.
Situation: I want to get an overhaul and all my friends tell me to just give it to Buchwalds (they charge around $300). Is it worth the extra $$$ to send to the RSC? PRO for RSC 1. Certificate from overhaul- my pre-loved did not come with any documentation 2. I suppose a more thorough overhaul?? CON for RSC 1. More expensive- $550 is the going rate nowadays, no? 2. Takes a month to get it back  Thoughts? |

This week the RSC in NY told me their regular turn around time is two to three weeks.

If is just a difference of a couple hundred I'd go with RSC, at least for the first overhaul.

Brought mines to RSC NY personally, 2 week turn around & GREAT job. RSC all the way

Since when does a 6 year sub need an overhaul?
If it is accurate, just wear it and not waste your money. |

I don't know about an overhaul, but it is recommended that the watches be serviced every 5-7 years.
