That'll be hilarious as people start dumping the BLRO. I think Rolex is still a few years away from getting the "true color" Pepsi to fruition.

Thought you’d want to see the difference in the colors. The fact that one of them is approaching 20yrs old & the others bezel is ceramic may have something to do with it.

I thought I would like the new model but I vote older. And the jubilee bracelet I don't like.

I love them both and wear them equally in rotation. Rolex has continued to improve their product but the charm and appearance of the 5 digit are a mainstay in my collection.

When compared side to side clearly shows the 5-digit red and blue colors as the winner for sure.

You can keep the 6 digit. I’ll take my 16710 any, and every day over it.

My preference favors the 16710 but there's no denying that's one lucky wrist.

New Pepsi vs Older Pepsi

Like the 5 digit looks better, but know the 6 digit is a terrific watch at MSRP.

5 digit advantages:
- can still acquire nice one for around $10k
- bezel colors more vibrant, font of numbers better with more spacing, and triangle at the top seems better shaped like on the dial
- oyster bracelet looks much more utilitarian and masculine

6 digit advantages:
- movement accuracy and 70hr power reserve
- supercase looks more modern (to me)
- ceramic bezel durability
- huge financial gain if you can buy one at MSRP
- if you put a SubC Glidelock on this one, would get all the looks advantages with solid links and far better clasp
- maxi dial and better lume

Saw a 5dig in wild on my flight home today. As shiny as the new one is, no way it compares imo.

How could you leave off the main advantage of the 5-digit?! The DIY ability to swap out bezel inserts, effectively making it three watches in one.

And variety. Three watches in one with the ability to swap bezel inserts.

I'm shocked that the 6-digit doesn't look significantly larger than the 5-digit. I thought the maxi case would make it look much larger than it actually does. The newer model looks a little beefier, but not larger. Hm...

Great picture to compare. Thanks!

Both are fantastic. Personally, I prefer (and have) the new one, but I’d love to have both.

Wear and enjoy both of those beauties!

This is a tricky one.

I prefer the new 6 digit watches but the Jubilee bracelet has never done anything for me, neither do PCL's. However, I've been spoiled by the fit and finish of 6 digit Rolex's and their Oyster Bracelets so can't go back to 5 digit models. I'm not keen on drilled lugs, holes and a more flimsy (Over time) bracelet so don't have any desire for them.

So my perfect GMT Master II would be a new Oyster Steel 6 digit model with a brushed Oyster bracelet, preferably with the Glidelock that the Submariner has.

If Rolex made that in the next few years, a possibility, then that would be my second Rolex model!
