My brand new Rolex is running + 1 minute per day!!!!
I bought a brand new GMT IIc last weekend, and decided today to verify the accuracy and it is running 1 minute faster per day. That is a lot, isn't it??

That seems like a lot. Contact your supplier.

Definitely too much (10x COSC (-4/+6sec/day)!!!)... bring it to the shop and have them send it to RSC for regulation... I had a similar problem (+14.6sec/day), AD sent it... now +2.5/day. Only problem is it may take up to 6weeks... :-(

Okkkkk.... I think I know what happened, I think I set the minutes wrong yesterday, I set the watch to 7:34 instead of 7:33 (as per time.gov). Today, when I checked, the seconds were running perfectly synchronized with time.gov.
TIME.GOV was exactly one minute behind, WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!!! That come to close to 2.5 seconds per hour faster. I just re-did it and placed the watch in the same position in the winder, so we will see. |

In-winder tests are not to be relied upon for a watch's precision and accuracy. Far better to wear it.
