Challenge: Watch Collecting History in one Picture!

I’ve been thinking of cataloguing my watch history for some time and today I had a spare hour so thought I’d see if I could capture it in one picture!!

And now I’ve done it, I challenge you to do the same!

I didn’t realise how many watches I’ve managed to get through.

And hadn’t realised that 40% of the watches I’ve bought have been Rolex!

Over to you...

This is really cool! Thanks for sharing. Actually thought about doing something like this for a while, but I’d need more than an hour and a bigger spread sheet haha.

Vince that's the first time I have seen something like this on here!

Have you never fancied a VC considering you have had others of the holy trinity?

Yes, I’ve thought about it, and will probably consider a VC when I finally take the plunge and get a dress watch. I need to grow up first!

Cool post and great collection. I have been collecting for 30 years. Do not have pictures and I am sure I cannot remember all of them, but I think I will try and do a timeline for fun.

That's pretty cool what you put together there.

You might want to mention in your "Incoming" thread to TRF that you have done a lot of business with your AD (they didn't just call you because you put your name on a list last week). Or, unsuspecting members looking for their next watch may think they will get a similar "nice call from their AD today. So many are waiting years thinking it will be easy as it is for serious collectors who have invested a lot with their AD.

Very-very cool, but I am not nearly as technically inclined or equipped with photos of past watches to do the same!

The current collection looks VERY different than it did in the beginning, cool to see the evolution!

I also noticed there are no blue lines on the chart. All keepers?

Very cool! Would love to do one to try and remember all the watches I've had over the last 15 years of collecting but dont have pics of most of them.

Good spot...not all keepers, but not sure yet which ones are going! I had decided, but now I’m having second thoughts!! Will make a decision before the new year and update my chart!

Am I really the only one (besides OP) who took the time to research, find pictures of, and diagram a 30+ year history of Rolex watches???
