My ad has both ss daytonas in the case, and several other variations of it, and by looking at the for sale section and at other threads it seems everybody is getting they'r grail daytona these days, a BNIB pepsi gmtII M series is a lot harder to get, but I would negotiate the daytona and cash, or the daytona and another sports model, maybe an explorer, the DJ just doesnt seem like a good deal, except if you were looking for one.

Sounds like a fair deal to me. If you're tired of the Daytona and/or need a date window, go for it! As you said the Pepsi won't be around for long.

good points... Just figured i dont own a datejust.... So why not.... Dont know what to do.... But i think by the summer ss daytonas will be in alot of ad's windows with at least 10 percent discount.... The brand new pepsi gmt might be long gone!!!!

That's a bad deal IMO. How much for just the GMT? I would keep the Daytona & buy the GMT.

The Daytona is, of course, the better watch but the trade you have been offered is very fair.

I would agree on this. What you're getting is a fair deal but IMHO keep your Daytona and purchase the GMT when you have enough dough. Can't seem to sell any of my Rolex watches.

When I bought my Daytona i bought my son a GMT Pepsi (18th B Day) at the same time. It was oh so hard to hand it over on the day!!!! It's a stunning watch and with the interchangable inserts the good looks keep going and going.

i dont know that they are all over the place. i have gotten 3 calls for DSSDs and 1 call for a GV.. but no calls for a SS daytona (but maybe its just me). alot of the members on this forum have been pulling them down however, but i dont think everyone who wants to buy one has/will have the opportunity.. the datejust is common place.. just buy the pepsi elsewhere (its as simple as that)- what are they going for now? dont give up a daytona to get one!

Will you get the full value of what you paid for the Daytona? I don't know how new your Daytona is, but if it is very new and you can't get the full value back on it, it wouldn't make sense to trade up or down.

This is the hype that erroneously brainwashed people into thinking they are rare.

THEY AREN'T RARE!!

They are everywhere and even in the for sale section at all times. The prices are dropping like fumagated flies and people still keep on bangin the BS RARE DRUM like it is fact.

The daytona in my mind is nothing special and is a nice watch. But getting two rolexes for this one is a good deal and I would take it anyday.

Choice 3: Pepsi and Cash. Then take your time and buy the daytona back when they start selling for 4500 in the middle of the summer.

All Oscar was pointing out was that the SS Daytona is still a very sought after watch. I don't believe he was alluding to it being rare. Although I have seen posts from different parts of the world where evidently the SS Daytona is indeed still rare to find at AD's.
