14060m end link wear from bracelet
Hi Guys,
I'am experiencing some wear between the bracelet of my Submariner and the end links. Is this normal wear or are the pins in need for a change to prevent such flexibility? this also occurs albeit to a lesser degree between the links themselves. I know this bracelet is known for is rattly and tin like characteristics but didn't know if the wear was also common. I do wear the watch tight to stop this occurring and straighten out the bracelet a little more and do clean it regularly to stop any future wearing down. Any help is much appreciated

Here is a photo of the wear. I had to cut the photo down a bit to get it to upload.

That just looks like accumulated dirt and grime. Have you tried cleaning with a Qtip?

Yeah I gave it a scrub. There is wear on the lugs and end link where they are rubbing off each other.

Looks to me that the endlink has been “flattened”. That would cause the rubbing you are describing. Your local AD should have a watchmaker on hand with a die that they can reshape it with. Having them clean your bracelet and fix the shape of the endlink should be free of charge. The contour of the endlink should match the lugs.

This is normal and it happens on solid bracelets too.
