Is this seller or Sea Dweller legit?
I'm new to this forum, so I want to thank everyone in advance.
My wife got me a Z series SD for Christmas from ebay. Here is the link to the auction that ended: http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-STAINLESS-RO...1%7C240%3A1318 The watch came w/ box only, eventhough it says NIB. I went to petemiller site and found that the band didn't have the serial number 93160 stamped on the inside of the bracelet by the lugs, only the inside of the clasp is stamped 93160A. My questions to TRF members are: 1. Does the watch look authentic just viewing it from the listing pics? 2. Has anyone heard of this seller before? Thanks again everyone, and Happy Holidays. Lim |

Buddy Lim...1st of all...Seasons Greetings...
n welcome to this WatchOut forum...! The listing mentioned the watch comes with an original box...although being stated as Brand New...NIB...etc etc. That's the catch which most folks would NOT expect to happen... As far as how the pictures look...the watch looks to be in order... BUT what you need to do...if Orchi may suggest...is to get the watch to a nearby reputable watchmaker or AD...to inspect its case reference n its serial numbers...just to be sure whether you have received the correct watch...or not. On modern pieces...the SEL Ref # n Coronet could be stamped within the SEL gap...which can only be seen if the SEL are detached from the watch case... Hopes that helps... |

The watch and seller look good. 100% + feedback with 2800 transactions many of which are in the thousands price range.
This SD is a Z serial which is not the newest though BNIB - I don't know if that matters to you - most people wouldn't care. I have this watch (courtesy of a kind fellow TRF member) and love it. Good luck with it. Hopefully you can get for under 5k. I haven't check the prices recently as they seem to be always changing on me. |

...looks good...
...I think you got it at a BARGAIN!!!
...for your own peace of mind, if you have an AD or reputable jeweler nearby, you could ask that it be opened up to verify the movement. (AD would be the BEST to assure that the case back does NOT get scratched up and of course the knowledgeable people there.) ...however, FROM THE PIC's, it looks GREAT and a GREAT price. ...wear it in good health. Stan. |

Also insist on the box. It is clearly shown in the description.

Box was clearly stated to be included and also shown in the pictures. I would not worry about that though I would confirm it in an email. I would push for the papers even though they were not described or shown. I have a feeling the papers are included. The buyer got a sweet deal here. I haven't seen a BNIB SD go for that cheap from a good seller. I feel like I am missing something here? |

The watch looks looks new, so I'm fine with it even though it's not the latest model. Happy New Year |

Your wife got a fantastic deal. I paid a lot more for my Z serial SD Anyway, there is no difference between your watch and the most recent series. Make sure to confirm the box (and other goodies) come with the watch. Also ask for the paperwork (you will be happy later that you have it). The serials should match. Whether to get the watch checked out is your call. If you are not so familiar with the SD then I recommend taking it to a AD and have them take off the caseback and confirm everything is untouched. Happy New Year to you as well. |

Orchi berdoa semoga Pak Lim dan sekeluarga semua nya sihat dan sejahtera... Coming back to the watch... The Seller should instead have clearly stated that the watch does NOT come with papers n the other goodies that would normally come along... especially with a Brand New watch...which was described to be... BNIB or NIB...in the eBay listing... IF one looks at most of the watches which are in BNIB or NIB conditions... being listed in eBay for instance... normally the watch would come with...FULL FACTORY PACKAGE... But that's normally... In this case...it is apparently NOT so... Nevertheless...as mentioned by other TRF buddies here... some do not seem to mind with the fact that...this BRAND NEW SEA-DWELLER watch...did NOT come with the Original Cert... |
