Unexpected incoming...(The Hulk)

Walked into an AD looking for pepsi or daytona, they had a TT submariner, few datejusts, TT daytona in the case. Then the salesperson offered a green submariner from the back safe, I tried it on and thought about it, could not refuse it.

Now I am a proud owner of hulk, batman (just got 2 months ago) and black date submariner.

Cannot post pics as I am still new, hopefully one day I can share the pics of the beauties.

could you tell us why they give you the hulk from the safe even you were only asking for a daytona? any offers besides the hulk? you are a really really lucky guy, congratulations.

Because jewelers can sell whatever they want to whomever they want.

Congrats.

Those pieces are awfully similar. Perhaps now you can think about branching out to other brands and styles...

Congrats! I’ve been on the hunt for a Hulk for a few months now.

Sadly no Christmas miracles for me this year. But I’m fortunate to have gotten a BLNR and SD4K within a few months so I can’t complain!

Great find! I had my own Christmas miracle last week when I found an SD43 upon walking in at a random AD. Wear it in good health!

Congrats and enjoy!

I’m seeing more and more of these types of posts where rare SS models are given to walk-ins. Perhaps a sign that demand is trailing off a bit?

They just got the hulk last week, I am not sure how it plays because apparently they have list for all the SS sports models. What I have heard from other AD’s, it’s hard to get hulk compare to BLNR.

I tried the bluesy also for the first time, it’s very loud and flashy in my opinion, not for me at this time.

I think there are more watches flowing. I myself got a Submariner date after a 7 day wait days before Christmas when arguably demand is at its peak.

I saw several ADs got Hulks in the last few weeks. I understand the new Rolex policy is to sell the watches to whomever comes in the store and not go down lists. I guess they figure the folks on the lists are more likely to flip.

Nonsense. RolexUSA doesn’t tell their dealers how to sell their inventory. I got my BLRO last week because I’d been promised one and it was my time. Lots of other “listers” here received pieces lately. Also been a handful like this where someone walked in and got a surprise.

I was on a waitlist for the Hulk (no prior purchase history with the AD) since May of this year, just got the call a few weeks ago and now have black sub date and the Hulk! Loving the green dial and it hasn't left my wrist since.

This is encouraging. Maybe it's a blip, or maybe the madness is easing. Either way, congratulations. Superb watch. So classically Rolex and yet so distinct.

Seems like USA ad’s are getting more stock? Definately in the uk at the big ad’s eg goldsmith, wos and m+w who dominate the market, they dont even want to put people on lists never mind sell them to wakins.

Seems to me it's more like Rolex is throwing a bone to the AD's for the holiday season. Nevertheless, it's good for ppl looking right now.
