Zenith Daytona, does this look kosher?

Always appreciate the more experienced and discerning eyes on here. Does this piece look correct to you all? I know many of you have forgotten more than I'll ever know about Rolex. Any feedback appreciated.

To be honest I wish they ran at 36,000 like other El Primeros

Looks let me an A or P series. Why do you ask, are you buying?

You should edit the third photo as it shows the serial number. I assume the papers and the watch serial numbers match. Looks like a nice watch.

It has had a brand new bezel fitted, you may wish to ask the seller for the receipt, as there are “ebay bezels” out there. Beyond that point, It looks kosher to me, I have the same zenith.

Agree it appears to be a new bezel and noticed it is an A series from the papers. I also have an A series and think it’s a great watch. What’s the ask on it?

$22.5. Little deeper than I’d like to be in it. Happy to share a contact with the owners permission if someone wants to take a run at it

That doesn't sound out of range. Assuming it's a full set and possibly an OEM bezel replacement, probably polished as well. I've seen a lot of full set prices north of that figure lately and the A series has the better SEL bracelet as well.

Not really surprising based on how it appeared condition wise. Many dealers are asking 25k+ for a full set A serial. Some NOS asking prices are in the stratosphere

How can you tell it is not the original bezel?

No red flags I can see via the photos. Still hard to believe the prices on these pieces. Have you considered throwing down a few thousand more and going PM?

Bezel is too nice for the age of the watch.

It’s obviously new which unless from Rolex with receipt is a massive red flag. EBay = 200$ good fake

I have the exact zenith. Paint in numerals is too high (new). The paint wears in after min 6 months and you can see the indentation. This watch has zero of this, the bezel is brand new. Also, bezel has zero scratches after 25+ years yet the watch is full of them? A single 1 x polish of those bezels first removes/Lowers the enamel paint in the numbers. So no polish has ever happened on that bezel. It’s is literally brand new. Unless there’s a receipt from Rolex for that bezel it’s an eBay 200$ example which renders the watch almost valueless to a collector and would cost 1000s to replace with oem

Bezel looks legit to me.....the later A serials came with lettering similar to the 116520 with big spaces between the letters. It should have a few hairlines on it for the age of the watch. Maybe he bought a nos in the past 18 years and put it on to sell...looks like a seldom worn piece and a steal at 22.5 guess that’s why it’s gone

Hard part is that without knowing the history it’s impossible to trade or move should you want to.
