Hey,

I've been looking through the posts here and there is a reference that a 40mm is a girls watch...

I was at an AD today looking at all sizes but the 40mm certainly did not look small to me. Beside the 44's, yes it looked smaller but on my wrist...I liked it. The 44mm looked great as well.

If it looks good on...wear it.

What do you think?

I have a white dial 40mm, I like it.
Also have 42, 44, 45 & 47mm.

Some don't like 40mm Pams, but others have them in their collection.
It's you that has to like the watch, no one else.

Several years ago I was drinking beer outside a biker bar in Albuquerque, NM and one of my mates was admiring a tricked out Sportster. My buddy asked me what I thought and I replied "Nice scoot for a chick's bike".

The dude who was the owner of that "chick's bike" was about 6" taller than me, 50 lbs heavier and kicked my ass into believing one can ride any damn thing they want regardless of their gender.

I no longer judge anything regarding gender based on size

If you like it, wear it and enjoy it. No one's opinion other than your own really matters in anything relating to your heart and what sings to it.

I had a Pam 48 and loved it... The watch fits perfectly on a 6" wrist and the straps were very fun to collect!

I have to laugh, as I rider a Sportser 1200 Custom.
Pretty dang fast for a stock Harley IMO. Not a crotch rocket, but does everything I want it to do.

I'm with you bro.

What a lot of people don't realize is that the Sportster has been in continuous production longer than any other model except for the FLH family

They're great motorcycles

I have 20cm wrists so it 44mm and up for me.My wife has smallish wrists and wears a 44mm 113.... looks great !!

Your choice !!

LOL that's why I'm neutral when going to bars. If you go looking for trouble, eventually your gonna find it.

I wouldn't call it a "girls' watch however I think it looks MUCH better on women than men, whereas I think a 40mm Sub or Daytona looks better on men. Then again when i see women wearing Daytonas I think it's pretty hot

I had two PAM 48s on separate occasions when I was in the Panerai craze. I loved them. They fit me just right. If I ever jump back in, I would get another one or another 40mm model, no doubts. We'll unless it is a 233 :)

40mm does me just fine, it's the right size, 44mm is a bit oversized on me but i can just about get away with it as well. So if you feel more comfortable with a 40mm then go for it, they're going for good prices as well these days.

44mm is pretty big... 40mm isn't small at all.
If the 44mms hadn't existed 40mm wouldn't be considered a girl's size. I'd say go for what sings to you -- but be forewarned -- many have regretted getting a 40mm only to have to replace it with a 44mm or larger :-)

Agree, That is a nice PAM and looks great on your wrist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to have a PAM 50, 40mm with SS bracelets, and one of the most comfortable to wear watches I have ever owned.

IMHO a 40mm PAM is like Ferrari making a station wagon. There is nothing wrong but it just does not quite capture what the brand is about and the re sale will most likely be not so good; however, if it is what you like who cares what others think or what the resale is just enjoy it.

she always liked them better than the 40s

but she is still scared of the 47s

i have a 40mm. it felt larger then my sub when i first got it. then i recently got a 287 45mm. i got use to the 45mm very quickly and now the 40mm feels small. if your not use to any particlar size you will not notice the difference. therefore - get what you like b/c youll get use to the size. dont be concerned what everyone thinks. the "big watch" is a recent fad (10 years or so) that may or may not stay around....
