Rolex Servicing- Your AD or RSC?
So the AD’s will service our Rolex’s, in house in their establishment which they so call a ‘Rolex service’. Is this really a Rolex service, or is the real genuine Rolex Service the one carried out by an RSC?
For example, none of the ‘AD Service centres’ appear on the Rolex list of Service centres- and, there is usually only one or two per country/region (I think UK has only London for example?) Secondly, is it true that you cannot buy new genuine Rolex parts? Only and exclusively RSC can obtain them, and they are for replacement purposes only? So if i wanted to switch an Oyster bracelet to a Jubilee for a watch, I could not buy a new Jubilee bracelet myself? If you send the watch back to RSC, can you request they do a part swap? Can your AD even get you new genuine parts to replace like a bracelet or strap for example?

If your AD has a Rolex watchmaker, he can order any parts he needs to fix the watch. It's unlikely you'll get a Rolex warranty, but you'll probably get a warranty from your AD.
Generally, they'll allow you to order parts that were originally available with your watch. |
