Balancing out collection

Has anyone ever flipped sought after models to balance out collection? I have recently added a speedy pro and a panerai luminor to my collection and it is amazing how much more fun it is to rotate entirely different pieces than just rolex watches.

As a result, finding the BLNR and HULK now redundant in my collection and thinking about flipping for a dress watch? JLC perhaps? Bad idea?

BLNR and the HULK are to vastly different watches IMO, but yes flip them if you don't like one.

Wouldn’t the Daytona be redundant now that you have the Speedy?

I guess it depends on what else you have in your collection.

Edit: read your signature ... I’d, stay where you’re at for a while and see if these new additions still take up wrist time

I see your point as both chronos but they are truly nothing alike. Plus speedy is on leather strap. I certainly appreciate differences between BLNR and Hulk as a watch enthusiast but in the end, similarities are abundant compared to diff brands.

It's funny how new additions can change the complexion of your collection.

Since yours are recent, I would give it some more time to see if you really want to move one of the LV or BLNR. I wouldn't make any sudden moves with those two.

Thanks. That’s sound advice

Perfect time to cash in imho.

Rolex's do get boring after having several. Variety is the spice of life.

Should be able to raise enough funds from the BLNR and the LV to replace with a JLC Perpetual - game changer

Wait 6 months, after the honeymoon you might be more likely to get bored of the PAM/Speedy and want to flip them instead

Sage advice! No rush here. Give it some time.

Consolidate to 2 pieces. 1 stainless, 1 YG

Certain JLCs look awesome. I would love to add that to my BLNR and Speedy Pro combo.

I recently went through the exercise of trimming diversifying my lineup. I let go of my BLNR to justify buying this:

Which leaves me with these three Rolex sports models, which I feel are pretty diverse from one another.

I am very happy with my decision since the 5296g works better with my work attire.
