1999 25807ST ROO Triple Date - What did they use for the lume?
Just collected a 1999 (E series) 25807ST - 38mm ROO Triple Date. Really cool thing - so pleased to have found one.
Interested to know what AP used for lume back in the '90s. I'd expected a 'T' somewhere on the dial if they used tritium. Not planning on re-luming - the dial has gone slightly tropical, so I'm content to keep it original. Though sadly, looks like a previous owner has had the hands re-painted in non-lume white. |

Ooh I was just looking at this piece online the other day! Congrats!
Couple questions about the functionality that I wasn't able to find the answer to online: 1. I'm assuming the two small buttons on the side of the case is for setting day & month using a pusher tool? 2. Is there a date quick-set for the radial date using the crown? And when setting the date this way the day does not change? This is how you modify date date on 30 or 28/29 day months? Edit: Regarding the lume, this post claims its tritium for the dial lume: https://omegaforums.net/threads/neo-...erviced.29620/ Also in this review Tim mentions briefly Tritium on dial, and super luminova on hands. https://youtu.be/0u80px7PE-0 Cheers! |

Some quick and dirty iphone pics. Will eventually take better ones...
Dial has gone a bit tropical - supposed to be black. The dial and chapter ring looking a bit more grey/brown. |

Shame the hands were repainted...I LOVE this model. If it were mine, I'd send it back to AP and ask them to replace the hands and restore the watch back to factory spec. Enjoy in good health!
