New BLRO with 92150 Bracelet - pics

Okay,

so I'm bored tonight and have been thinking about this for a while. Now, first I know that there have been several threads featuring Glide-lock bracelets on BLNR's (for a non PCL look) I think a lot of folks around here love the idea of the modern Glide-lock on their older 5 digit watch heads, but how about this for a thought? - I put my 5 digit bracelet on my new SS BLRO tonight. I did it first out of curiosity to absorb the fully brushed bracelet on the new BLRO, then something happened...

It actually feels really good. Now, I know there are a lot of benefits that I too appreciate with the modern Glide-lock bracelet, but - I know there are plenty of you out there that appreciate the 5 digit bracelets that jingle a little bit, are a little bit lighter etc..

I was amazed that the bracelet fit as well as it did, and astounded that I really liked how it wore. Kind of a best of both worlds.. the other way around I guess..

Looks good. So as someone who is awaiting the BLRO, what’s the deal with the bracelet. Didn’t Rolex say that Oysters wont fit?

Not sure on that part, but this is a 5 digit 92150 with SEL link and it lined up fine and really tight...

Agreed, but here's the other thing, it feels really good. It kind of scratches that vintage bracelet feel on the new watch, I was surprised for sure. I may keep it like this for a while.

Thanks my friend, but the way it feels is something else, I may have stumbled on to something here. Now keep in mind I've the the SEL end links and that is certainly part of why the fit doesn't look bizarre - but it does work IMHO.

Thanks! If regarding the bezel color, I'm not sure on that deal at all. I've got photos of mine looking like a "MK1 and a MK2" so I don't know what to think. Would love to see mine next to another in the real world. If I had to guess based on date and what people say I would probably say MK1 if that is really a thing.

Not sure, it should be mentioned that I used fatter spring bars from my 5 digit sub the bracelet was on first to see if it would work and it did, probably part of why the fit is nice and tight, I've read that others doing the bracelet swap from BLNR back and forth have had to take spring bar thickness into account.

I can confirm that the PCL bracelet on the BLNR works on the BLRO, but can’t confirm the opposite. I hypothesize it would work.

So would it stand to reason that the Glide-lock brushed bracelet from a Sub C would fit the new BLRO as well? - if so, doesn't seem like there is any incompatibility

You didn't use spring bars from a through hole watch on the BLRO did you? One of the hazards of mixing 5 and 6 digit watches accessories. The bracelet looks great!! BTW!!!

It was a G serial 11660 no holes sub with SEL links. Amazed it fit so well..

I used the bars that were on the 5 digit sub as they were thicker than the ones on the BLRO to see if it would work, now - I don't know that the spring bars I used are the original to the Sub and bracelet as I'm not the original owner of that watch, however the condition of the watch and lack of wear when I purchased it suggest that they were all original as far as I can tell. Point is, it didn't take any monkeying around to get this bracelet, or these end links specifically to fit and that was my main surprise as I thought I was just going to put it on to see how I liked a brushed bracelelt instead of the Jub or PCL. I like it a lot....

Oh that definitely fits. Takes a little extra push to get the spring bars in securely but it definitely works.
