advice regarding chipped bezel
Hi guys, it's been a while since I write in this forum.
I'd like to ask your advice regarding polishing the bezel, I have slight chip on the edge of my explorer bezel a while ago (see picture), even though it doesn't really bother me, I have been thinking to get it polished/ serviced at RSC as my watch has been with me for around 3 yrs now. https://ibb.co/Y0z2SMh so, in your opinion, is it wise to polish it? or keep it that way. Thank you for your kind advice. Cheers and may you always wear your Rolex in good health! |

If your watch runs fine it can go without service for a decade or more.
Makes no sense to have it serviced as some kind of a preventive maintenance, since the wear parts will be replaced anyway at a service. You will be without your watch for weeks for no reason and it'll cost you some service fees as well. Have it serviced in 2029 and let them take care of the ding at that time

Leave it. It’s an explorer and perhaps their last true tool watch. If you wear as jewelry then by all means get it buffed out. If you are like me and wear your watches doing everything as they were intended, it will get more over time. Tools get used. |

Pretty easy to remove the bezel and polish it. I would be torn between just fixing it myself or leaving as it. I would definitely not send in for a service because of that.
