my visit to the panerai store in manhattan, new york

beautiful store.... very small.... sales people extemely friendly.... i told them this is this first time i have ever really viewed panerai....i tried on a 88,90, 287, and i think 104.... so many numbers.... very confusing..... coming from rolex i really only wanted an automatic.... the store was very busy..... AND ZERO DISCOUNTS..... they dont discount on anything..... im starting to get a little educated about these beautiful watches... hopefully i will decide which one i want to buy soon.....

yeah its once you see them in person you realise the level of detail and quality in the product!!
Remember Panerai produce about 40,000 watches per annum compared to rolex being circa 1 million. so they are harder to come by

My 111 & 183 is brand new. But I got my 232 preowned.

you won't buy one,
i prefer to call it... first
think about non automatic, they are lighter and more confortable (when i started i think as you, now i prefer winds).

He told you b/c they are lighter and more comfortable.

Also, remember that not all dial combination are available on autos/manuals. some are only on autos, some only on manuals.

For example. You want a date? Well there is only 1 manual that has a date and it is the 233.

Take your time and do your research prior to buying. Don't rush in and flip it b/c you want something else.

same here in Singapore...the popular models are always out of stock and no discount..but if you're a tourist here you can have a 7% tax rebate on your purchase.I waited for months for my pam,but i'm sure worth the wait cos they gave me a really good deal for it!
