I have also used Davidsw multiple times. Other very reputable top notch dealers are Takuya and Distinctive Time

I'm assuming their brokers/dealers where they are selling other people's watches and collecting a fee? Or do they own the inventory themselves by purchasing from Rolex?

I have had two honest and fast transactions with David S Williams also known as DavidSW. I highly recommend his services.

I've heard great things about all of them, but David is the only one I've worked with. I've had about 7 or 8 transactions with him, both buying and selling, all smooth and professional.

its their inventory. they buy up used from people/other greys or new from ADs

if they don't have what you're looking for they will find it for you pretty quickly

A blend. Mostly owned inventory. In some cases they’re basically consigning inventory from ADs.

I almost listed Tony, but despite lots of great reviews, I’ve never dealt with him personally. I hear all good, but no personal experience. He’s in San Diego, as I recall. Great reputation. He and I have spoken by text and phone, but never consummated a deal.

Really? Consigning with an AD? That would be suspect but wouldn't be surprised.

I have purchased from one of the names listed in this thread. The watch arrived with my name on the papers. It was shipped from the city where the AD was located (the seller is located on the other side of the country).

Why would that be surprising? Do you think grey dealers can afford to keep every item on their website on-hand as purchased inventory? That would be an enormous cash sink, especially for when occasional pieces worth a hundred thousand dollars are there.

WHY would an AD give to a a dealer in the secondary market? That would be illegal and the AD licensed revoked. Unless there is a roque employee looking for monies which was why I was suspect on buying in the secondary market regardless of scarcity.

I’ve done several deals with Tony. He’s as good as they come. In one instance I had an issue with the watch I purchased (not Tony’s fault). He paid for the watch to have a full service at a RSC. No cost to me! Can’t speak highly enough about him. I would deal with Tony without hesitation.
