Rolex v Tudor lume?

Ive noticed my ceramic Sub and BLNR don't shine as brightly in the dark as my Tudors (Pelagos and Black Bay Bronze).

The Pelagos in particular is quite bright.

What are the your experiences with comparative lume?

I fully agree. The Black Bay lume is brighter and lasts longer than the Sub’s lume...

Danged if I can read the time on a superluminova dial much after 45mins. You need good eyes to tell the time at night. I got a G-Shock with a back light in the end.

I wear my Pelagos to sleep because it’s a lot easier to glance at my wrist at 4 in the morning than it is to put on my glasses to read the alarm. Just incredible lume.

Pelagos lume is a torch. Far brighter and longer lasting than Rolex.

Rolex has never been associated with good lume.

Here is mine, Tudor wins.

I don’t know. Here’s the lume on my 214270. It lasts all night.

I have a Deep Sea and a Black Bay.

The Black Bay's lume, after exposure to bright light, is brighter than the Rolex's for a few minutes at least.

But, at 5 AM in the pitch dark, the Rolex is easier to read than the Tudor.

Both are exceptional though.

I feel the same way. Panerai Lume is exceptional and lasts.
I need to compare my PAM 90 and DSSD-JC.

It's interesting that Rolex doesn't prioritize lume strength and duration more. I've got to think they easily could, so there's presumably some tradeoff that Rolex considers worthwhile. Appearance of the lumed surface, or perhaps efficiency from less light?

MY new sub burns bright for a short while then settles in to a lower brightness. I does last about 7 or more hours though. I can read it all night. (Eyes adjusting to darkness helps.)
