White Milgauss question

Hey TRF,

Just a Curiousity...

While searching (successfully) for a White Milgauss recently, I have noticed, more than any modern watch I have searched for before- that there is a lack of complete sets out there. Was wondering if anybody had thoughts on this. I realize it could seem that way sometimes, but if you do a forum search or eBay search- it becomes quite evident. The watch is not all that rare- there are plenty for sale, but fewer full sets than watch only.

Was it just me trying to convince myself that I better grab the full set I found, or is this real?

A lot of people weren't too interested in these until they got discontinued. As a result, non-enthusiasts bought a good amount of them and didn't care too much about hanging onto box and papers.

Got the original papers with mine. But I don't think it matters that much. Once you get an RSC service you get a new set of papers.

Agree with OP, don’t see many white with or without B&P not in the UK at least. The white was probably the worst selling affordable modern steel sports reference, a classic in waiting but not just yet. The black and GV models are fairly common in most greys in multiple numbers.

Bought mine from a TS here with the full set. Very happy!

This makes sense to me. Most folks don't care about full sets like we do here.

They are also burdened with being heavily faked at a very high quality...the fakes probably didn't sell well either. Be careful.

Not sure about that, I think it’s only on here B&P are not important. Just my opinion after listening to several grey dealers moaning recently about unrealistic non WIS buyers demanding box and papers. Apparently they walk unless price is ridiculously low, go figure.

Less popular models get unloaded in droves to Jomashop and other greys. The ADs hold back the card to keep anonymity.

I think the public is getting smarter and more people are demanding full sets. Not sure where all the boxes and papers are going. Either the trash or a quick $100 on eBay??
