Does anybody wear the 500c black dial with t-shirt and shorts or jeans?

I do with my platinum one all the time. Should I stop? I'll call RSC and see what they say.

Ha ha ha. What a question!! Why do you think it will be inappropriate to ?
You do what makes you feel good. If you are comfortable in your own skin then wear any of your watches with any outfit you choose.

No, never!!!! Don't do it. This is a common reason for being blacklisted by ADs, RSC, and/or Rolex corporate. If they happen to see you out there doing this, tainting the product by not representing it as intended, you will lose your buying privileges, and there will be 1000 other buyers behind you ready to take your place. I wouldn't even talk about these things if I were you. Are you trying to bury yourself?

Wear it with sweatpants and you may get a call "asking" you to immediately return the watch. Rolex police are nooo joke. Do you not keep up with TRF threads???

Not trying to be harsh here but with 85 posts you should know better.

The way you're going, you're going to get us all blacklisted.

SMH.

No, white with summer attire, Black 500c is a winter watch, so wool socks, thermals, sweater and overcoat.

Dang dude, based off of this one post of yours I have so many questions. This is such a weird thing to ask. I’ll list some of the questions:
- what’s your IQ
- do you live with your parents
- I’ll just assume you don’t have much physical activity with other humans
- why would you ask this question
- why would this thought even come up in your mind
- do you now wish you had posed this question differently. Or not at all
- what if it is a white dial lol
- it’s one of the sportiest watches in the current Rolex lineup. Of course people wear it casually
- do you really need to ask this question
- do you think there should be some sort of penalty for such a question - like you can’t post again for 30 days. Or maybe you’re just banned from the forum
- I could go on and on and on and on

It would be a very serious fashion faux pas not tolerated in this forum

I wear mine naked. It distracts attention away from the timepiece.

What I meant was is the watch too dressy for t shirt and shorts. Talk about internet bullies. That must have made you feel good. I just wonder do you try to bully people in real life? Probably not

Sorry in advance for misspellings...am multi-tasking dealing with a cancelled flight.

Agreed on the post. Unless no one picked up on the sarcasm font, I think the responses were a bit harsh.

From my perspective, it was a questions from someone who may be (or is):

1. A newbie to Rolex and is so excited about the brand and his watch, that he wants to talk about it anyway he can...especially with people who share his passion.
2. A newbie to Rolex and doesn’t want to look like a poseur and/or respects the clear and thoughtful responses typically posted here

Of note: This forum has mentioned many times that the general public couldn’t care less about our watches, so this the place be talk about them and ask the esoteric questions. As a fellow newbie to the forum, outside of the

1. “what’s my watch going to be worth in 2049” questions
2. And the obvious solicitations (the recent double LV post comes to mind)

I think we should assume positive intent and let newer posters ask the questions and try to encourage them to stick around and develop their love for the hobby

The short answer is no it’s not too dressy. This should be obvious to someone in your situation, who I assume owns this watch.
And yes, if someone said out loud in real life what you wrote I would have the same response.

I don’t say all of this necessarily to make you feel bad. It’s just that we read comments like this too often on this forum. I haven’t even been here very long so I truly feel for the guys who were here before social media which probably drove a lot of people who didn’t know anything about watches into the watch world and straight to the sought after pieces. And they’re all asking THE DUMBEST QUESTIONS. such as, CAN I WEAR THIS WATCH WHILE SKIING? CAN I WEAR MY WATCH WHILE PUMPING GAS? CAN I WEAR MY BLACK DIAL DAYTONA WHILE WEARING CLOTHING!

I mean, dude, SERIOUSLY. Don’t be one of those guys. A Daytona is a watch for a man. Someone who puts their life on the line racing cars! Someone who’s picture winds up on a magazine cover and changes the watch world forever! I’m talking about a man that wakes up in the morning, checks his Rolex which by the way he slept in, cracks a beer while frying an egg to get rid of a headache and his police partner knocks on the door and then they go get in a high speed chase and get shot at with a sawd off shotgun and then he wrecks the bad guy into a tank of some sort of fuel and there’s a big explosion. THIS WATCH ISNT FOR A GUY WHO ASKS IF ANYBODY WEARS IT IN JEANS AND A T-SHIRT!!!

Do you get it? No go do something and stop asking these stupid questions!

I personally was making an extreme point that, really no ones cares, nothing will happen, do with it as you deem fit. It's a beautiful timepiece just enjoy it, there are no Rolex police

The other things I saw written just seem cruel, and are probably more about the poster than about you don't give it another thought.

Never has been done. Rolex has a strict dress code with each model.

I told him about the dress code.

And about buying privileges.

And the Rolex police.

Actually most of us just toss the Black dial Daytona Ceramic straight in the trash as everyone wants the White.
