Dust underneath crown

Just noticed a piece of dust while winding my crown to the case will gasket stop it from entering the movement

You have nothing to worry about.

The hole is essentially the same diameter as the stem. You would have to force the dust past it. Now if your watch is old and the seals havent been replaced in a long time then there is a slight chance of foreign objects making their way inside. Keep in mind though, it would have to get in there when the crown is pulled out which is less than 1% of the time that the watch gets used.

If it stops water, it will stop any piece of dust you can see. Getting past the crown doesn't matter, since that's not the main barrier. If you're worried, compressed air will clear it out.
