The new Rolex watches from last night.
Attended the Rolex-WOS dinner last night at Chucs in Central London and got to see/handle the watches in person.
Approx 100 guests attending, and around 30 staff from WOS and Rolex. Chocolate dial Daytona was very nice. Not a big lover of rubber straps but this was comfortable. New Batman was nice. Jubilee bracelet predictably very comfortable. TT Sea Dweller was a bit of a monster. Actually very wearable, for me anyway. Never a big fan of the Yuk master but this turned out to be my favourite of the evening. Put my name down for one the day after Baselworld and I'm glad I did. |

Out of that lot, the Yacht does it for me.. what a great looking Rolex! It's well out of my league though as far as money I would spend on one watch goes! I wonder when or if we will see some SS models on rubber.

Great photos. Apparently not a big hit with the ladies.

Forgot to mention, I didn't particularly like the meteorite 18ct white gold GMT. Nice idea but the hands blended into the background so much it's not easy to read the time at a glance. Much prefer my blue dial GMT.

Nice photos, was it a good event? Not a fan of the rubber straps either but the watches themselves are nice. Were they proper watches with the actual movements?
Looks like you wore your WG BLRO :) |

Daytona Choco looks better now, got rid of the black arabs that made the dial too dark and hard to read, they do listen to feedback, esp on TT/PM models.

Nice. Preferred if the new DJ36 was there as well.

Thank you for the post. Agree!!! The YM42 may be one of my favorites. Hope it is as good in person as it is in pictures. I think 42mm is the perfect size for any watch.

Thanks for the report and pictures. I am looking forward to seeing the YM in person and if it works I might look to buy one later in the pre-owned market.

Didn't check if they had movements tbh, but they all felt good. Well spotted re the WG BLRO Blue dial 3186 movement (which someone actually offered to buy last night lol). Not for sale, I like mine too much :) |
