That watch is not normally discounted and usually has a waiting list, so any discount is a good deal assuming you want the watch.

I got $800 off on mine. 5% off sounds great for a watch that sells on the grey market for over retail!

Great choice on this reference, it’s the best modern daytona IMO

Congrats!! My favorite Daytona right now. Sporty but yet elegant and totally under the radar. I'm trying to source one from an AD in Europe with whom I have purchase history. If everything goes right, it would be SS grey money for a PM piece.

Congratulations. Any discount on that particular model is great. One of the few PM’s that trade over retail. Stunning, enjoy!

I’m being told by my ad that there is an updated oysterflex and that I can have a choice on my wg order. I can either have the old oysterflex strap and get measured or wait for a new oysterflex strap and don’t need to get measured. Anyone have an idea on the differences on how the new clasp works? I haven’t seen an oysterflex model in person. Btw the new clasp increases lead time from 4 weeks to somewhere between fall this year and spring next year.

My ad said it was announced at Basel. He showed me the email from the Rolex rep and that he was required to notify me of the change.

Maybe they are adding the glidelock like they did to the YM? Rolex doesn't give much notice about things like this, but maybe that's it.

Also, another poster mentioned that the newer straps he received only had a single digit printed e.g. E or F or G or whatever size it is, as opposed to the current E-E, E-F, E-G. I don't believe it had any effect on sizing the strap though.

So it could be one or the other of these things or maybe both.

Glidelock on the Oysterflex would be awesome and a welcome change!! If that were the case, I’d definitely wait on any OF purchase.
