My house sold today!!

im so happy....with a little luck i hope to be out for good by June 30th...close on the 29th....I caved in the last 5k but i just want to out asap now....I was thinking of getting a private plane to fly the cats and me out and have no idea how much it will cost to fly to Scottsdale though.
My mother died here 4 years ago.....my step father died 3 years ago... brother died 2 years ago.....my wife died last year all in Houston. I never want to see this town again long as live. My cats are the only good memory I have from here....

Jeez, man. First, congrats on selling your house. I've never done that, or bought one for that matter, and I imagine that it is a very stressful process. Second, bravo to you for taking a step to move forward with your life. I imagine it is very cathartic to "unload" anonymously through the internet. I am only a stranger through the internet to you, but I wish you the best & I commend you for all of your efforts in your life.

I'm very happy to hear the house sold, Greg! It certainly is time for you to get out of there. I hope you're able to find either a small airline or private pilot that can make this happen.

I was thinking of a Pilatus pc-12 to charter from west houston airport to scottsdale...I know it will run few bucks but with 3 cats...its my best choice.....and it will cruise at 300mph....so thats only 3.5 hours flight time.

Congrats on the house sale. In the grand scheme, 5k is easy to give up in your situation since you want out ASAP. Best of luck with your move. I agree,if it works for you take the cats on a private plane to make your life easier.

It certainly sounds like the best way to do this. Any additional costs are worth it in my opinion considering how much easier it makes things

Book the flight, with three cats it’s the best option. The Pilatus is a great plane.

Congratulations on the sale. Time to turn the page and see the inside cover of that book.

Time to begin writing a new book full of wonder adventures, peace, happiness and good things.

Be well and create the life you want!

Hi Greg, I am very happy for you. Glad it worked out and a new beginning is very exciting. I do not want to tell you how to spend your money, but, as I recall some time ago, you had a thread that voiced your hardships with money and some struggles financially. Maybe you should save a few bucks and skip out on a private plane rental for you and the cats and save for the rainy days. I realize selling a house may have brought you a windfall of sorts, but I cannot forget your thread on the struggles you had financially. Seeing that many of us including yourself, has used TRF to share good and bad experiences in life, an opinion or two from the TRF family is what we need to here sometimes to get us over those life hurdles or decisions. I really hope you do not take this the wrong way, as we are all friends here. Good luck my friend.

I think you are right. Sometimes you just have to make a little trip to close a time you want to forget. Flying is so fast and thus a whole different experience. In 50 years from now we are just teleporting ourselves to our best times all the time again

Have a good move out and i hope you will be happy in your new place !!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
