If it's a Rolex, 90% of the time it's a Sub. Owned one and sold it lickety split. Just not my thing. Way too common and a bit too lemming.

Interesting perspective from someone who actually started a thread lecturing people on the proper way to refer to the Submariner.

Stating facts is very different from poking bears.

No sense in getting this thread closed for a petty argument. I agree that your opinion disagrees with the facts. It just perplexes me why people choose to be wrong when they could choose not to conform to the “popular masses” Whatever

Yeah...it's a shame Rolex doesn't know the facts.

Not again lol. No Date is just a nickname. It's the only non ridiculous nickname but gets too much attention here. I use it a lot and will keep using.

You guys are the life of the party.

Are you both wearing subs while you do your mating dance?

Fact is, it's not called a "Sub" either, yet you persist.

Just doing the same as everyone who doesn’t call it what it is. It’s easier to type than “no date”

Whatever, agree to disagree.

How often to do you actually see a Submariner on someone’s wrist ?

Rolex mass produces watches. No one means "literally everywhere". I see Subs every day in my area/environment.

You are not a unique snowflake if you wear any mass produced watch.

I mainly see "Rolex" and other highend watches in airline lounge. Rarely have I seen them in day to day wild. I have never seen another Sub Serti in the wild...

As a follow up, with some many knock offs out there I decided to trade in my Rolex dive watch on a DD. I know of a number of Sub k/os at work aside from the one mentioned above. Seems like people would have greater integrity than wearing illegal pseudo Rolex watches especially in a company that strives so hard to control their IP.

His watch notwithstanding, I question his choice of truing stands in a shop environment

I spent the week in Miami and I’m based in NYC. I did see some nice watches here and there, including the nice man I sat next to on my outbound flight wearing a ss YMII, but $7,500 watches are hardly “everywhere”.

All the time. Last time I was in an Airport, there were 2 other guys with Subs just in the lobby by me.

They are very common in my local area as well. Everything from two-tone, full gold, to the standard plain Sub. The "No-Date" is actually a very rare watch. I have rarely seen them in the wild. The Hulk is also something I don't see very often. The standard black "Sub-Date" may be the most common watch I see aside from the Apple "Watch", Fitbits, and G-Shocks.

It's all demographic though. If you live in a wealthier environment, you're going to see a lot of Rolex watches in general. Also, the Datejust is by far the most common Rolex not the Sub. People on the forums tend to think in terms of sports watches so there is a bias there.
