I love my Frankenwatch

Great job! Once you buy it it’s yours to do with, as you like! Half link. Monster. Frankenwatch... what a croc. That’s not a Franken.

This, is a Frankenwatch. My 126710 with a glide lock clasp and bracelet from my Sub. Brushed center links and an adjustable clasp. Makes a better look, feel and fit for me. Rock on.

Congrats and glad it’s a better fit.

If it is such a big deal to add a half link to a watch that did not come with one, I wonder what RSC would say during a service? Would they actually care / remove the link?

I thought the Sub bracelet didn't fit the new GMT? Or is it just the original GMT bracelet that doesn't fit the new GMT?

The Ceramic Sub bracelet 97200 will fit the 116710LN, 116710BLNR and the 126710BLRO. I have personally affixed mine to each of those and the fit is perfect. There are several threads on it. Quite a few of us have done it.

I’ve not tried any other bracelets, because the goal for me was brushed center links and glide lock.

Great minds think alike. I just did the same with my exp I. I also tried many different configurations, but the half link on six was the perfect fit. I forgot I ordered the half link awhile back. I happened to find it cleaning out the watch drawer. Lucky me. Enjoy that great explorer.

I did exactly the same to mine. Couldn’t get the right fit. On the 6 O clock side either 4 or 5 links didn’t help. I explained the problem to the AD and ordered a half-link which went onto the 6 O clock side. The result - perfection. The most comfortable Rolex I’ve ever owned.

The attitude from your AD - was it just one person who perhaps was having a bad day?

I don’t think it was a bad day scenario. But, you never know.
