Backpack vs Briefcase

I would wear whatever fits into the office environment you work in. I certainly would not want to be underdressed, that includes my backpack or briefcase.

I’m 54 and have an Incase backpack. It works for me and my sports coat.

If I worked around suits all day and they had briefcases then I probably would to. Baa baa.

Whatever gives you that swagger sir. I mean really...who doesn’t like a little swagger!!

This old RL Polo bag has been all over with me for many years now. I have looked a new options but I guess I still like it. My daily and traveler. Lots of pockets and room. Well made it will outlive me

I wear an OGIO backpack for every day stuff, and I carry a leather messenger for business.

I'm sure that makes your office mates uncomfortable. That's my bug out bag.

They have 2 different sizes. The smaller (which I have) is perfect for the 12” iPad Pro. If you’re hauling a bigger laptop, get the larger size.

) Under thirty, casual dress office environment, a backpack is acceptable at best.

) A backpack is never acceptable while wearing a suit, at any age.

If one can afford a suit, a school kids book bag is tacky, and projects the perception of sloppiness.

I agree. If I'm in regular clothes, and say, traveling, I'll go for a backpack. If I'm in a suit or more formal attire, then an attache case is more apropos.
