Smarty End Links or Original Time End Links?

Hi everyone I am new to this forum. I could jot find a thread which compared these two different end links. I was wondering if people could please help me decide which end links to go for as I have not seen either in person. All help is appreciated thank you 😊

Smartyjones endlinks on these also.
Keep in mind that thin straps work best with these as the endlinks don’t leave much space, and it gets pretty challenging trying to get the springbars to slot into the case holes with thicker straps.

I’ve used these same endlinks with my 16610 sub also, but I can’t find a pic

Can someone tell me how the end links fit?

I'm looking to put Oysterflex on my SS Daytona and know the end links fill up the gap but how do they hold in place?

They just are held in place against the watch case by the installed strap. Here’s a pic showing the back of the endlinks also

I own both but only use the smarty endlinks on my Daytona/Sub/GMT. The OT ones for example, on the submariner does not allow the bezel to be rotated. After receiving a replacement pair from OT, the same issue presented itself.

I would only stick with smarty from now on.

thanks for the explanation.

I see that the bottom of the end links have tabs on them to stop them going forward (drop out the dial side), what stops them from dropping out of the caseback side?

The side of the endlink facing the strap end is concave. When you install the strap, the end of the strap is pressed pretty tightly against that concave side of the endlink, which holds the endlink in place. There’s really no way the endlink can slide out once the strap is in place.

Got it now!

So, the strap to endlink will be a high point of wear due to swivel movement? Or is it so tight, it won't move?
