16710 insert font thickness question

Hi all,

I'm thinking about picking up a serif pepsi insert for my 16710, and am trying to decide between two. The seller is online, so I can't see them in person. My question is this: is the thickness of the numbers different? I've included pictures below. It seems to me like the font on (1) is thicker in some pictures (particularly visible on the "22"), but in others, they look the same to me. The seller says that they are identical.

I'd like an insert with thicker fonts, but it looks like (2) is in slightly better condition. So if the font is thicker on (1), I'm inclined to get it over (2), but if they're the same, I'll probably get (2).

So, eagle eyes of TRF, help me out: Are they different, or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Thanks!

Any pictures of the back of the bezels? Something doesn't look right on these to me, I'd need to have 'hands-on' to make a decision. Specifically the delineation between red/blue at the 6 & 18hr marker.

I've overlaid number 2 onto number 1 which shows some of the offsets and size discrepancies. Clockwise from top, 2 and 4 are identical, however from 6 to 20 there appears to be a really obvious right hand shift on bezel 2 which justifies again at 22 - this could be a camera angle artifact though.

Like I said I would have to have these in hand to make a decision.

Best
J

Well we now know they are anodised correctly, I'm in awe of the level of sophistication on fakes, so my default position is to suspect everyone and everything.

Truth be told I have no idea why they differ, if you have the ability to get hands on with them, then that would be your best option, however number 2 closest resembles my fat font serif Pepsi

Thank you both — unfortunately seeing it in person is out of the question, as it’s several thousand miles away... seems like the consensus is that they’re the same, or close to it?
