Great collection - tie for the best look is the Daytona or the DSSD for me.....but the platty is really nice too!

is that the 36mm plat day/date?I thought they were a bit small, but it looks good on the wrist. Please confirm the size as I may take another look.

Yes, the Day-Date has a 36mm case. I tried on a Day-Date II the other day and it seemed too big.
