Sorry I'm late for the party, David......just saw this thread.

Hearty congratulations on that beauty!!! Love the GREEN dial. Pity they don't make it in the TT model - only full YG.

Just take care not to scratch that gorgeous clasp......or else!!

Wow, thats hot, and now for the question no one asked yet....

I know its probably crossing the line into your personal business, but can you share with everyone what "deal" you struck with the manager?

I was just at my AD, and saw a 2008 solid gold YM with gold dial that was traded back after 4 months never worn. They were selling it at 40% off, so $15,000. Is this a great deal???

P.S.-->I don't like yellow gold watches but that beauty you just bought is absolutely stunning, and I would be proud to wear it!!!

Nice choice, congrats!!!

It's perfectly alright to ask. I got a great deal and will leave it at that.

$15k is a good price for an all YG Rolex sport model. Not a steal, not out of the current market. There are lots of sellers I found who were not realistic asking $18k+ given todays economic conditions. I bet if they are asking $15k, you could get them to knock a bit off and make it a great deal. I don't believe there is a better time to get a great deal on precious metal watches than now and when the market turns, it won't last for long.

JJ, that first scratch is going to hurt..

David, I will be happy to let you try it on... with two of my security guards blocking all the exits!

Thanks again for the nice sentiments. Now, do I wear it to work today?

Ahh, what to say.. Thanks Jimbo for the ehhh kind offer but I like my partners to be without a tummy banana and a little less hairy!

Besides, it would cost me too much to get divorced as my wife would get half my watches!! Oh and imagine the funny looks we would get when we showed up to a parent teachers conference and I introduced you as my wife..

The all gold GMT II C is very nice! I like it because there is a little less going on than the TT. Seems a little less busy without the SS bracelet and case. The gold seems to match the numbers on the bezel better too. Congrats!
