This is a easy one fellas. Look at these photos all random except for 2. 3 of the photos came from his post that was made over a month. No new photos equals no watches. Seems to me a big purchase like this deserves better photos. Never seen a grey or Ad wrap a watch in plastic as some of these are. 98% have fell for it.

Not making any judgement call on if there was a purchase or not...but wrapping in plastic seems in vogue, at least in Asia. Was in Macau when a new shipment had come in and all the sales associates were busy wrapping watching in plastic. If you look at all the gray dealers in Japan, same thing in the case. My last watch from a Asia based AD also came wrapped in plastic as well.

So I bought five Rolex SS models after a day of start stop start negotiation

Here you go fellas photo of the Explorer taken from Chrono24 zoomed in. Need I say more. I don’t hate but can call bluff when I see it.

The first 3 photos and watches are from HKG when the OP was there in March and visited some greys.

You’re quite right and I downloaded my already posted images for this post.

I don’t feel the need to take photos every time I walk into a dealer. The day I bought wasn’t a fashion day, it was a buying day.

I posted a mix of images over wifi at HK Airport with a short version account before I boarded. I grabbed whatever pics I could get (over and above the ones I took on my wrist) until I was home next, as a write up supposedly needs images. If it was an academic paper, I’d have foot-noted but it’s a watch forum.

As far as people demanding that I stage a photo shoot for their edification, you’re kidding yourself. I choose what to post.

I’ve finished a long form write up, which many seem to enjoy. but I’m inclined to keep it. I have my watches and am thoroughly enjoying them.

Over and out.

What's so hard about putting together the 5 watches for a single photo? Not saying you don't have them but don't see what the big deal is about posting a group shot.

He has nothing to prove.

Don’t get defensive I did not accuse you of anything, it was an observation.
I actually read your HKG post and found it very informative. I go to HKG several times per year and I am familiar with the watch scene and what you experienced there.

However, if I may add, we like watches and in particular Rolex watches. We like to see photos......especially when someone makes a killer purchase like yours.
Over and out.

Wow, things got nasty up in here.

Being on a watch forum, we all love pics.
I for one would definitely like to see a collection pic, be proud and show them off.

I have to say this original post just seems arrogant. Hey everyone I just bought all these hard to get models at once! Many people struggle to even get one of these pieces.

I’m in the group picture or it didn’t happen camp.

Hi Verdi, I'm sorry if you thought I was being terse. Not a problem at all. In fact I read your post to mean these watches were in fact on my wrist.

Hi imgook. I'm traveling. I have a group pic of all the watches but here's the thing:

I joined this forum to post what I choose to post. Like most people, you're what makes this forum a generally nice place to interact. Thank you for your comment.

What I won't do is have some anonymous twit (not you and not most people here) demands a photograph like it's a bloody murder trial. I don't jump through hoops or respond to some of the childish demands made here. I'll post images if I choose to but not at the demand of some kid who wouldn't get my attention outside this forum. Again, not you ;)

Thanks for your post.

Arrogant? People don't retain my services because I'm a shy retiring wallflower. I'm betting that there's more than one person on this forum who would engage in a multi buy if circumstances permitted. If you thought it was arrogant, that's a perception problem - not a problem tied to my intention.

You don't seem to have listed any watches in your profile. Maybe you'll find one while living at the "it didn't happen camp"

Indeed, people could perceive you as arrogant. I hope to one day buy a watch.

Thanks harvey.

In Australia we have a strange phenomenon called 'the tall poppy syndrome". Stick your head out and some will delight in throwing stones at you.

I hope you get the watch you want.

Let's make this forum a place where people can talk about what they've done. The reality is that somebody would find reason to object to something I wrote or something that you wrote.

Let's enjoy the watch bit. Cheers.

For everyone concerned with the plastic wrapping, I say; welcome to Hong Kong. Here, this is as common as the sun rising in the east. Nothing strange with this at all. Last time I tried on a RO at the official AP boutique, the whole watch was wrapped in plastic. And so on.

To the OP. Big CONGRATS! Wear them in good health. The two Sky-Dweller’s are stunning :)

Cheers,
Joe

Beautiful collection. Do you have a favourite to wear out of them? How does the Explorer 2 fare in that department?
I had one and regretted selling it as it was so damn comfortable on the wrist. Great size! I still have a Blnr but the Explorer was more “invisible “ when worn.

This is true in New York City, also, both at boutiques and at secondary market dealers. Prevents scratches.
