New Rolex, not +2/-2
Quick question. I just picked up a brand new Sub from AD. Immediately brought it home and connected it to my Lepsi and its running +4. My other watches run +2/-2 on this same device... Recommendations?

Yes, unhook it from the machine and wear it
After a week or so if there is still a problem have it adjusted |

-2+2 is an average of five tested positions. Dial up, dial down, crown down, crown left and crown up.
Did you test in five positions and take the average or just test one position? |

Wait some time, give it 2-4weeks. Your watch has 5 year warranty...

Give it some time. After about 6 months, my DSSD settled in to an accuracy of about +1 per day, maybe a bit better, whereas when I first got it, it was about -2 to -3 per day. I’m impressed with its accuracy now.

Wow!
Have owned Rolex/Automatic watches since 1994. Have no clue what the heck you are talking about. Have never wondered if any of my watches functioned as designed, to spec. I must be one happy go lucky fool. Please........enjoy the watch and throw away those nonsense devices. Life is way, way too short for this nonsense. What the heck has this world come to?

I know that i am a picky guy on my watches, but +4 is something i would not be concerned about. Specially because i swap daily between them. At this rate you have to set it 5 minutes back after ten weeks. So thats not really an issue if you have an Sub date, because you have to change the date anyway in the 30 days months ;)

My DJ has the same issue, +8 everyday, so I brought it back to RSC and they fixed it. Regulation issue they said. Some new watches may have such problem.

I’ve never tested mine. As long as it tells time I’m ok.

Don’t ask for advice about accuracy on this forum. You are likely to be derided for actually expecting the accuracy performance that is advertised by Rolex.

I have never checked my own but I could not care less about how accurate my Sub is, I'm too still much too busy being grateful and overjoyed that I actually got a new SS Rolex from an AD at retail in this climate. |

i can tell you this, they tested my sub on machines, it performs different on the wrist. wear it for a few weeks and track it by hand. i bet she locks in within specs after awhile. if not, you have her regulated.

Did it even get a chance to run on a full power reserve yet? Give it some time to see how it behaves over normal cycles. You have 5 years of warranty

My Explorer was running +4 a day at first and I though ouch but I’ve worn it almost every day and after about a month it’s literally running +2 a day exactly.
I think once it settles down and gets into a rhythm of sorts it becomes more accurate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Should have bought an Air-King It's probably magnetised... Air-Kings have anti magnetic properties...
There is more to worry about in this world than +2-2 you should really be thinking ..I should have bought an Air-King. |
