No AP Boutique

Dear Forum,

I am looking to try on some AP Pieces and start buying / building a relationship with a boutique. There is an AP House close to where I am, in Munich.

Do you think they would be willing to do business with someone located out of town?

Best Regards,
Luka

Ofcourse ! AP does understand that since they are going the boutique route by shutting down all the ADs they will have to accommodate customers from out of town also!

I went to AP house Munich when I was on vacation last year and they were very friendly, sincere, and helpful.

Yes!! you are much closer to them in Europe and I had excellent experience buying my 26405CE just few months ago. Everything pre-agreed via email and great shopping experience when went there to collect the watch. Will definitely reach out to them again, hope sooner then later:)

The AP House in Munich is always worth travelling. Nice salesperson and it should be no problem to start a long lasting realtionship.

you ain’t kidding. Then again Patek doesn’t subscribe to APs plan for boutique only sales. Their customers are the jewelers.

Never been in the AP House of Munich, but I heard from another Dutch WIS that foreign customers are being treated very well. Same problem in Holland as Austria, there is no AP boutique at my home country.

Dear all, I apologize that I didn’t get back to you before - life was busy and I forgot I posted for advice here.

Thank you very much for all your replies. I do appreciate them and am indeed delighted to hear about it! I’ll proceed by sending them a mail and initiating a conversation.

I’ll keep all you guys updated on the progress, but don’t except huge steps soon. Currently life is taking the better of me when it comes to free time :-P

Cheers Luka

AP dealers are a bunch of *unts. There are only 2 ADs in Canada and they tell you that you must pick up immediately if you are called. How is this going to be possible when 90% of the population of the country is over an hour away.... and Vancouver one of the most affluent cities in the world does not have an AD and has to deal with *unts in Toronto.

I was in contact with the AP Boutique in Prague over the last month and will be visiting them to try on some pieces tomorrow. I am excited about this! Experience report to follow. Greetings, Luka

Yeah -- it's incredibly common because so many people (myself included) don't live anywhere near one of the few boutiques. I've bought two watches from one without ever visiting them or meeting the salesperson.
