Whole of western Europe is being scorched. I've only once experienced 40+C weather before and that was in Italy. Yesterday it was 40.2 in my hometown, insane...

It’s warm here now in Southern California, but nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year. The beauty is little to no humidity.

When I was younger, we had a week in SC where it was over 100F every day. That is rare. In the summer, it's typically 90-96 with over 90% humidity. You walk outside and immediately start sweating. I would get up at 5am and be out the door by 6 for long bike rides and runs.

I just left Paris. THe temperature is high, BUT the great thing with Paris is there are a lot of trees, so a lot of shade and it is always breezy... AS LONG AS YOU ARE IN THE SHADE YOU ARE OK, BUT IN THE SUN it’s definitely hot.

Thanks Paul.

Yep, we pulverized the old all-time highest recorded temperature in Paris, which dated from 1947, by a whopping 4 F!

Ugh.

Much better today.

High of 81 today but our heat usually comes later into fire season. At least there isn’t any humidity.

The good thing is you can sip your coffee because it's not getting cold.

Unfortunately, this is the one situation when having a Ball TMT watch (mechanical thermometer) might come in handy.
