Love

I have to confess that I am a romantic and enjoy the music of John Denver, one of the world's great balladeers. So to preempt the Valentines Day commercial feeding frenzy I send you all my love........

I don't care what anyone thinks!

Denver was one of the best song writers and artists of his era and probably of any era!

I say this as a 53 year old rock guitarist who has played since he was 10.

Long live your music Mr. Deutschendorf!

I like Michael Bolton ... For my money, it doesn't get any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman".

These people have excellent voices, but John Denver also penned most of his material. It has an unpretentious simpliciy and purity that I feel leads alot of people to discount his great talent.

But you must really like his music, seeing how you have the same name as him?

I decided to try and spread some looooooooove around. My missus read the post and said I was creating a false impression of myself as a 'sensitive' guy. Then she demanded to know why I sent that beautiful song sung by Domingo and Denver to TRF and not to her. Needless to say I needed the dog to keep me warm in bed last night.

As you may remember Martin I was drug up in Leicester and I have over the last 30 years failed to be programmed completely by the Cambridge, Massachsetts PC culture. However, I have to say that last night I did suddenly feel an out pouring of love for mankind. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize.

Is he cute?

Also, the only drug I abused in Leicester was Everards bitter.

"Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy...."
We didn't even know what sunshine was in Leicester!

Looking again at this post, it dawned on me that the narcotic affects of the beer were the opposite of what it's name suggests!

I didn't think anyone remembered Jim Croce anymore. I love his music. I had the privilege of meeting him shortly before his plane went down. What a shame. It was the loss of a potentially great talent.
