It's not rare at all. I own one and am selling it simply because I'm moving on to much smaller pieces.

I have a feeling if you didn't want the DSSD originally, you won't want it after a few months unless you truly like big, tall watches. Trying to save you from jumping on something just because it's available.

Again, I repeat. The DSSD black dial is not rare. Don't let the AD tell you otherwise.

EDIT: I want to add that if you were interested in the DSSD, buying new + sales tax isn't the way to go with this piece. You can save $1,000 - $1,500 buying used, which is something you can't do with any other SS pro model. If I'd have known that I'd have bought 2nd hand for sure. Great watch for what it is, but don't play the AD's game on this. That piece will sit.

Is it a watch you were waiting for?
Don't buy just because it's offered to you. Not too hard to find a black DSSD.

I don’t think it’s rare. Nice AD spin though. Only buy it if you want it, not as an investment. I don’t foresee this one ever being hard to get.

FWIW that's the older model DSSD, the new 2018 model has the coronet in between "Swiss" and "made" at the bottom of the dial.

Well not sure but they just got it. I just saw it. If anyone is in the phx area that wants it. My AD will "TRY" and hold it for me until tomorrow. First PM gets to buy it at AD peel sticker and have your name on the card.

In phx, but not interested. However I am interested in your AD. Do you mind PMing me who you use? I’ve had little luck out here with decent SAs.

The DSSD Black dial is not hard to come by. You can get it upon specifically asking.

Agree with Travis...buy it if you want it, not cause it was offered.

I am sure he is a sales guy and trying to place a piece that is a SS that my understanding still go to established customers and never left on the shelves. Look I am not making a dime on this, just trying to help out and be nice. It was not on my list of Wanted Rolex so offered it to the group. But lesson learned.

Most always come back with messages like that as far as it is not the watch you want

No sport Rolex is rare. Those words don’t belong in the same sentence.

These are desirable and Outclasses the JC. I GOT A YG Daytona with this piece and guarantee of Daytona SS before EOY.

No question this is the earlier model DSSD not the 126660. Easiest way to tell is to look at minute hand - they extended the length of the minute hand slightly on latest model.

It was not on my list, would only buy if I wanted it. Once I decided not to buy, I offered to TRF members to buy directly from AD. But AD just informed me it is gone. Sold. Wooosh.

Everything is rare to an AD right now. If you pass, it will be sold quickly regardless. So don't buy it if you don't want it!

Well, I mean it's not hard to sell a piece when you text it out as rare haha. That will get the speculator FOMO going.

It's a great watch, though. It's just not rare.
