Thanks everyone for all your comments and insights. I do appreciate it.

I think the part that bothers me is that someone else (i.e. the polisher) affected the way the watch looks, so it’s no longer “perfect,” albeit a very small imperfection.

For instance, I’ve put my own dings and scratches into it, and I feel fine about them.

Just something about dealing with someone else’s handling of my watch (i.e. RSC) that I have trouble with.

Maybe it's a problem with your pictures, but almost nobody here can see the problem that your worried about. It looks like they did a good job.

The owner of Rollieworks has recently ventured to correct such issues by way of a different process. I forgot what he called it. It does entail adding metal to the case, however.
