I'd ask them to set up some sort of database that forces every owner of a watch that still remains under warranty to register their details immediately after purchase. This would do two things:
1) Help in the retrieval of stolen watches
2) Provide useful data on who is selling watches.
The criminals and flippers will not be so keen to operate and it would improve the brand's reputation.

I’d ask what it costs them to make a SS submariner and a solid gold submariner. Just out of curiosity.

Why they have polished center links on the oyster bracelet. Just to give me anxiety?

I might ask, have Rolex always used gold from 'ethical' sources.

But no literature from Rolex of any kind confirming this date exist and all the data is merely regurgitated info that someone else is quoting from someone else.

Some “experts” cite 1967 or 1968 and even suggest that serial numbers back this up. Rolex actually HAS published some literature on the topic. The Rolex Magazine #6 which clearly states 1969. So this is the date I believe however I am not certain how definitive it is.

Pretty definitive to me. The serial numbers do not back up an earlier date. Most people are regurgitating information from the same sources. When I referred to Rolex literature I was moreso talking about during time of release, ie. Basel 1969...but your source in the Rolex magazine is pretty good. Thanks for posting.

Yes I would definitely like to know WHEN it was released. Basel 1969?? Rolex must know this.

Another pic from The Rolex Magazine #6. It’s worth picking up on eBay especially if you like Subs. Great publication!
