Any Photographers out there?
I found a "KALIMAR MC AUTOMATIC 1:2.8 f=28mm 52(weird symbol, looks like a "o" with a diagonal line through it) No. K8621349" Lenses from a box of random things my uncle left behind.
I'm wondering what I can use this for? I have a Canon EOS 40D, but these lenses do not fit. I'm not great at photography and stuff, so if anyone can help me out i'd really appreciate it! Is there any adapters I can use to be able to use these lenses on my camera? Thanks! |

I think it's for Minolta MC mount. Kalimar was inferior to other popular 3rd party lens manufacturers e.g. Tamron, Sigma and Tokina, very average stuff.
The 52 means 52mm filter. |

The O with a line through it means diameter.

Annie Liebovitz (and her family, especially her brother Phil) is a friend of our family. On vacation one year she tried explaining some good ways for me to start getting into photography-different starting equipement, lighting...I just glazed over. This was when early digitals were out and I thought why not use the easy little box? Totally silly I know but the art of photography goes over my head. I need the KISS-Keep it simple stupid.
 I am grateful for those of you who use good equipement-I enjoy seeking that final product.
