GMT and Snowflake

My first, the 16710 that I purchased pre-owned back in 2010 for $3,650 with B&P.

And my most recent, a 9411/0 that arrived on Tuesday, purchased for $10,500 with B&P.

Just that spread in prices blows my mind - no regrets on either end, love both!!

Nice duo! And yes the prices changed quite a bit my friend
I wish I could go back to 2006/2007 and buy all the 16710 I could get!

Daaymn that snowflake is gorgeous! (And obviously, the 16710 as well!)

How does it compare to the GMT in terms of overall wrist-feel?

Thank you! It's funny - in pictures the snowflake looks large, but in person, it feels a bit smaller than the 16710, which I think is be due to the insert size and crystal.

Both are listed at 40mm, but the snowflake feels more like 39...which I actually don't mind in a vintage watch. Definitely feels different than the Hulk on the wrist, and that's totally ok!

And the Hulk and snowflake together for size comparisons there:

Interesting!

I agree with you on the insert size and crystal affecting the perceived size of the watch. Same thing I experienced with the 14060 that I formerly had.

I've been lusting after the 9411/0 ever since Alton Brown was featured on Talking Watches. And your posts certainly aren't helping

Haha, I actually watched that exact Talking Watches for the first time yesterday out of the blue, and saw his snowflake! Definitely made my day.

Such a great episode! He has very discerning taste, and the story of his father's Omega got me right in the feels

Funny how the snowflake makes the hulk look like a DSSD

It’s all about perspective
