Vintage Tudor Oyster ref. 4453 (ca. 1946)

Here's one you don't see too often, especially in such nice condition. I found this on eBay, from a seller in Hong Kong, but who knows where the original owner was from...

It is a bubbleback-sized (32mm) Oyster with the dependable manual wind caliber 59 movement and what could well be the original flush crystal. The pigskin strap may be original, but I switched to the slightly later (1954) riveted Oyster bracelet with straight ends. The dial sports an early variation of the small Tudor rose, within a shield. A small amount of the luminous paint flaked had flaked off the minute hand, but I had it since restored and the radium lume stabilized.
